Detroit, MI (June 1, 2005)- American Flight Airways reports that its wholly owned low cost subsidiary Alpha Jet starts service with 15 non stop flights out of Kansas City International Airport (KMCI). Kansas becomes hence in addition to the current Tampa, Flint and Oakland hubs the 4th Alpha Jet hub.

The expansion of Alpha Jet is a strategic move in persuing an increasing market share of the low cost travel business. The central location of Kansas City will allow leisure passengers to connect easier to their final destination as well as offer the Kansas population an attractive variety of destinations at low fares onboard our Alpha Jet services.

Kansas City now offers flights to the following cities:

Albuquerque, NM (KABQ)
Baltimore, MD (KBWI)
Birmingham, AL (KBHM)
Burbank, CA (KBUR)
Chicago, IL (KMDW)
Flint, MI (KFNT)
Indianapolis, IN (KIND)
Las Vegas, NV (KLAS)
Nashville, TN (KBNA)*
Oakland, CA (KOAK)
Ontario, CA (KONT)
Phoenix, AZ (KPHX)
Providence, R.I. (KPVD)
Salt Lake City, UT (KSLC)

* New Alpha Jet destination

However due to the Wright Amendment we have to cancel the 2 following flights out of Dallas Love Field (KDAL) 4506/4507 (Oakland-Dallas) and flights 5916/5917 (Tampa-Dallas). Passengers who have booked these flights will be rescheduled without any extra charges with AFA out of Dallas Forth Worth (KDFW).

Enjoy your flight and happy flying,
