I flung it together - It's just a preliminary idea I'm working on - Everything in it is short of what I'm happy with - but get someone else to do it?   Roll Eyes  As always I'll probably put it on a back burner as I get on with other stuff like a new site logo, etc.

The choice of font was Garry Smith's

I prefer the Sea Fury  Wink - though I wonder if there is a Spit out there that compares with that Sea Fury - if there is it hasn't been uploaded & wouldn't deserve a place on our main page ...  Smiley

Hey Pete, seeing how you said it'll be on the back burner.
I thought I'd give it go, and see what I could come up with.

The image your currently using looks too cluttered.
I'm thinking this new splash screen looks cleaner and has a more modern feel to it.

But alas, it's up to you to decide.

I also had a go at a new site logo.
And I tried the idea of adding a prop.

I really liked the old one.  Smiley
O-evetS banner is nice, but too boring and dull IMO.
The one we have currently is okay, but:

I agree with Nexus on this one, the old one was by far the best.
