So, I have a new system all set up but FS2004 doesn't look as good as it should.  I know I messed around with a few things when I had my old computer as far as settings are concerned, but I don't remember what to do.

Any suggestions?  I have a 9800Pro.  Thanks!

Are you going to overclock that 2.0ghz processor? Seems abit crap against the rest of your system.

I be thinkin its an AMD64 cpu so its deffinately not gonna be crap and will outperform P4 3.0Ghz in games  Grin

Steve, just remeber leave the Anti-Alias unticked in the game settings.  Turn it on in your cards settings (Control panel, then Display) With that card and your specs you can probably run 4x AA and 4-8x AF.  Run at least a res of 1280x1024x32.  U might find you still cant have clouds at there highest of settings (Well my bro cant on his 9800pro)

On the Hardware tab in your game settings Max everything except Mip-mapping.  I run mine at 5 any higher and my ground looks like its moving.  With your card you may be able to go higher but if the ground starts to look like its wriggling turn it down one.

In fact Max everthing on Every tab! You might have to turn down the clouds slightly or turn of water effects to keep it running dead smooth.  Looks like its time for you to go play with your settings  Grin

With everything maxxed @ 1600x1200 and 8xAA, 16xAF, I get an average of 10 fps on the deck & about 50 @ 20,000ft  8)

Sadly, the machine I get this with has a 6800GT 256MB card, it makes my GF FX5600 look laughable!  Embarrassed  Roll Eyes and its not mine! - I've built it for a friend.....

Despite the differance in cards Steve_Butka, your system should handle FS9 superbly, Update your Graphics card drivers, Direct X 9c is now out, that could help....

Ultimately, its settings, even with my FX5600, with the correct (i.e. very low !) settings, I can get upto 100fps at zero feet, it just looks awful!   Grin

The XP3200+ (If thats what I think it is....) is no crap CPU, nor is the rest of steves pc for that matter!  Wink
