I think that there sould be a fourm called TRIP REPORTS.  I think that this fourm sould be opene so that when we have done a flight we can then go and review it and let other simers no how we got on and wether it would be worth doing this flight ourselfs.  Please have a think about this.  And please post your coments below as i would like to know what other people think about a fourm for this perpose.  So pease have a think about this before you just ignor it all together.

Thanks

Iain

Sorry couldn't resist ..  Wink (often wondered what it would be like to be a teacher..)

Iain, Even if you are dyslexic it doesn't take a second to type in Outlook or Word - do a quick spellcheck - & paste it in here. It's good all round & helps you with your spelling. (I was a terrible speller as a kid ..  Roll Eyes )

As for the forum idea - it's a nice notion but as with all forums - they are created when multiple postings are made on a particular subject - thereby meriting a new forum.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Blimey Pete. Shocked
I've often wanted to do something like that myself. It must have taken quite a while. I'm suitably impressed. Grin 8)

PS. No offence Britannia. You're not the worst culprit here by any means. Tongue Wink

Iain, just be grateful I'm not your English teacher. You'd really learn to fear the word Shakespeare! Wink

Iain. Going back to your suggestion of a spell checker. As I recall the old forum had one but I don't believe it's possible on this Yabb board. As Pete says, it's easy enough to type or copy/paste your message into a word processor & use that to check it before pasting it into the forum.

Of course, a spell checker is limited to finding misspelled words. This is no guarantee that they will be the correct words in the context of your message. The only way I know of doing that is to learn how the words are spelled. This is more difficult for some than others. I'm lucky in this respect as I've never had many problems with my own spelling. Maybe this is due to the fact that from an early age at Primary school we all had to learn so many new words every day, including their meaning & how they were spelled.. Roll Eyes

Mayhaps we would collectively profit from an "English" forum, wherein the august intellectuals amongst us would guide us commonfolk through the vagaries of the Queen's English?

Although English is not his first language I consider Felix to be one of those august intellectuals. In fact I'll go further. He is the chief august intellectual on this forum. Smiley

I've often noticed that the spelling & grammar of members with English as a second language is generally better than for those for whom it's their native tongue. Make of that what you will. Roll Eyes

PS. I hope that I got all that right & made no basic spelling or grammatical errors. My spelling is fine but my grammar isn't so hot. Tongue

Well Mr F. It comes from years of writing quality manuals, company expositions & similar official-type documents. These are written in a language all their own that I'm sure nobody really understands if the truth be known. I am now a past master at it which leads to general confusion all round. ??? Roll Eyes

I much prefer your colourful regional dialect myself. Wink
