I was looking at a really nice set of drums from musicians friend.com and they are VERY cheap. I was wondering what people think of this company.

Musicians friend has some great deals, you might check out Woodwind & Brasswind and American music supply also, just search for them on Google if you haven't already checked out their sites.

overall - At concerts I've always loved the drum solo best & always wished they'd continued more.
Think Prince - Sheila E - for instance! One of the worlds greatest drummers in her time.
It depends on the music - but often drums are the 1st track to be cut.
What do people jive to? drums! Some may think they are jiving to something else -- but it's the drums.
Think Global. It's the world we live in.

I love YaBB 1G - SP1!
I have ordered my bass and amp off of musicians friend, and it arrived in perfect condition, its a good place to order from, However Wood Wind & Brasswind is over priced, however its fun to walk in there and play the guitars.

Careful. I was/am a drummer. Quite a good one too if I say so myself. Despite what they say about drummers I'm reasonably intelligent. I took up drumming as although I have rhythm I had never played a musical instrument & thought I had no musical talents. Years later I taught myself guitar & keyboard & became quite accomplished at both - so there you go. Don't always believe what you're told.

hey hey settle down it is a standing joke among musicians that all, just like there are plenty of jokes about saxophonists, violinists, piansts, vocalist and the list goes on. It's not an attack at anyone and if it wasn't for the drums, music would be absolutely boring.
