Sadly, the mustang is a 3.8L 6cyl.  Even with a clean driving record the damn thing costs over 300 a month to insure in jersey!  I'd hate to see what the 8 would be.

Hahahahaha, If it were all about the engine I'd have a beat up old Pinto with a Viper v-10 in it!

I am 28, and I only have one ticket, which was for 10mph over the limit back in 1996!  Needless to say it's completely erased from my record.

Most states in the US are pretty good for insurance, but NJ has a bunch of problems.  My town is 3/4 of a mile from manhattan, and while Hoboken is really ritzy, we are only a 10 min drive to Jersey City, the stolen car capitol of the world.  That and the high number of uninsured illegal immigrants in north Jersey drives up costs . .

Add to that the $150 I pay a month for a parking space and I am out almost $500 every month . . . and I don't even have any payments left to make on the car!!!

I cried when i parted Cry with my 68SS chevelle(rare stonecrusher 4spd)).

I picked up a 50k clean 87 Monte SS. got bored and replaced drivetrain with a 383 mildly done,88vette 700r4 worked with 2400 stall, custom 3" exhaust thru flowmasters, repainted and resealed body in mercedes black.

Car ran 13.8 sec 1/4 mile on street tires, spinning thru traps(now my rear end leaks bad,oh well)

0-60 in 5.2 secs

current upgrades include lunati solid cam and flowbenched phase 2 bowtie heads.

all A/C and cruise still functional

Yeah, I know that feeling.  I'm in the same boat.  I have the 3.8L V6 in my Camaro (200hp).  But thats OK.

I feel an old git... Sad I drive a'94 VW Passat Variant 2.0GL.
And a '96 Fiat Punto 60S when the missus takes the VW.

To compensate for all this grocery/children transporting capacity I ride a really cool Honda VFR400R, black visor on the Arai  8)so I don't get recognised as being mister avarage....

not true. The Passat is a great car. Lacks at least 2 cilinders though. Undecided
