Trying to build a new airfield (Read 474 times)

I would like to build a completely new international type airport.  My question is how to get some of the AI traffic to go there so that I am not alone?  I use the addon My Traffic 2 and I would like to know if there is a way to get into the code to route some heavies my way. ???
I am using FS Scenery creator to build the place.  I am not trying to go too fancy.
Also does anyone know if there are design macros for F/A-18s for the military part of the airfield?

FE,

I'm not familiar with My Traffic 2, but I suggest the following:

If you haven't already, download the latest version of AFCAD and create a new facility file from scratch to accompany the airport you designed in FS Scenery Creator.

The procedure for doing this is well-explained in the AFCAD manual.  Once you have done this, you should create a new entry in the Traffic.bgl file, including the ICAO symbol, coordinates and elevation for your facility.  Not being familiar, I'm assuming that your traffic editing program will allow you to do this.

Once that is done, you should be able to create AI flight plans for your airport and (with AFCAD) manipulate the direction of traffic in and around the airport.

Good luck,

If its just macros your after and not AI planes. There is a program I have called M98toBGL or something which turns FS 98 aircraft into API format (FSSC Macro's). I think only FS98 planes work but the macros can be used in all FS verions.
