.............i was thinking of buying more RAM......

OK this is what i have

Windows XP
Pentinum 4 Processor 1.5 GHz
NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 MODEL 64
256MB of RAM

Now with all the new features FSCOF will bring and since i expect to buy it as soon as i can i don't want to run 5 fps.....now, with middle settings i have 10-20  specially since my joystick wasn't working because it was sharing resources, i had to reduce some of the settings for the joystick to work........now i would like someone to tell me what i can update? I haven't downloaded any dirvers for anything, so if someone could tell me what i could buy...........

I can buy RAM but what do you guys suggest? Thanks Grin

If you have an AGP slot in your machine you are in luck.

Go here:   http://www.pricewatch.com/

and look at multimedia/video cards/gf4 ti4200

now you have a fantastic choice of great video cards from $90.

Save your ram money or get that as well, but your video card is what is killing you at the moment.

Thanks for the advice but..................I have never opened my CPU, but if the slot will say AGP then im sure it has it. But frankly, i don't know if it does. As to my video card, the PC is made by HP and the model is Pavilion 7955 so im pretty sure it has a slot for a new video card, and.........i don't order online........and i don't think these people have stores........

Anyways, what video card do you recommend?

there are 2 or 3 screws on the left side cover, remove, look inside, you will see some slots, if one of them is different, it's probly the agp slot. Most likely that's where your video card is sitting. Unless your video card is a PCI card, which truly would suck.

Don't be scared......... LOOK INSIDE!

Oh, and yesterday, I emailed an order to my online store and I got my new puter this morning and I'm using it to post this message, and you should have seen the parts all over the place and........................

Oh, sorry, a GeForce TI4200 is value for money at the moment.

If i see what you tell me i will post, if not, i will post. I am also going to see  if anytime this month I can go a CompUSA that just opened somewhere aroud here. They seel video cards right? After that, if i do get it, i will definitely get some RAM

Allright yesterday I had a friend over and he helped me open that. They were 2 huge screws and you wouldn't believe how much dust was in there!!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked

Anyway, he showed me the RAM slot, there is one little card for RAM, 256, and there were other 2...

so here is the things. Other than the RAM there was a long board, the motherboard right? It has the RAM and two big "cards", so to speak,. One of them was plugged to something going inside where i couldn't see. The cable was much like a USB cable. Anyways, there was another one like an inch or 2 smaller that was standing alone. If you need better descriptions I could open it again if you want.

Thanks
