Gear Ratio? (Read 914 times)

My car had a auto tranmission. Then I go enter to the freeway then Vrrrrrroooooooooooommmmmmmm. I saw the gear ratio of number 4 too high and something at 5 very high. That's really Interest about the gear ratio like the maunal. If they go over 4 or 6 at RPM.

Do u understand?

Not sure I understand, but I think you mean it is revving v.high on the freeway (motorway)? In which case what you need to do is install an overdrive on the gearbox, which acts like an extra gear to bring the revs down whilst maintaining the speed.

Yep, I mean gear ratio. I had no problem at my car. My car had overdrive on the gearbox.

Do you have overdrive in your car?
