Hi I´m new to  FSDS but I have encountered some unforseen problems.

Whenever I put a material on a part it gets the material on the inner sides of the part and won´t be displayed on the outside.  Cry

For example: I tried to make the tutorial "Water Tower" in FSDS but when I put on the material (a green color) on the water tower, it fills up the inner walls of the tower while the outer walls remains totally transperent.

Can I somehow choose which side of a polygon I want the material on?

How can I fix this? Please help me I would be most grateful.

Carl

not exactly sure what your problem is

it might be a mirroring problem, if you are using regular fsds try mirroring the polygons. if you are using fsds v2 try flipping the polygons

I tend to agree with Bman ... (but don't hold that against him) ...

I think it's a flipped polygons problem.

In polygon mode (F7) select all polygons (key A) then choose "flip all/selected".

remember to "unselect" the polygons (Shift-U) afterwards.

Respawn the model to make sure.
