Now I've got it all sorted with the NoCD3.1 installed, I absolutely love my CFS3! Grin
I get about 25fps when I'm cruising and 14fps when I'm flying low woth the sky full of flak and explosions in front of me.
I know it takes time, but if you work at it, you'll get a great looking and working CFS3. Wink

Hope this inspires some of you not to give up on it. Smiley

I'll have to check that one out. Wink

BTW, 14fps seems to be the lowest the sim can run on my machine without looking like a slideshow. Wink  Same wiht my FS2002, but I get an average of 35fps in FS2002, so that's not a problem anymore either. Smiley

It is a very nice game  Grin

All it really needs is a halfway decent video card and PC to run good. I've been having a blast with it, and the only things that bug me is the fact that there ain't no other campaigns to mess around in YET. Eventually the Fortress Europa will be finished and I'll be craving another...hopefully we'll see something like a Condor Legion scenario where you can fly an Emil, Stuka, or a Fw200..or the Afrika Corps.

I need to get the SDK, I do believe it is time I contribute to the community...why are there no Komets?

Yeah, If u look on the good side. Look how far wee come. CFS1- Crapy paint all around. Sceryery looked like a triangle forest. CFS2-  scenery detail better but the graphics still kinda crapy. CFS3- We have ppl being able to SIT IN the turret possition insetead of Tail Gunner. The explosions are awosme. We have treees!! All arount the Graphics rock. If your sys cant handle it. Thats not M$ fault. If they gonna take a step forward you have to to. No ifs and buts about it.  Grin Grin Grin

Love my CFS3 from the start, especially since I got my Ti4600 card. WOW! Shocked Shocked Shocked
However I've been playing it so much that my joystick is now knackered and I can't bank to starboard at all! Tongue
Ah well, just wait for the new stick to arrive.... Grin

I've loved CFS3 from day one... Watch out for the tanks. There not to good yet. Only one of them is any good. The american tank destroyer. latest version...

They made my cfs3 stop working... Thankfully its working again now... phew... all I need now is time! Grin

The only major trouble i have with the tanks is that they 'crash land' more often then they 'should' Roll Eyes Undecided

I just upgraded my processor from a 2.0GHz to a 2.6GHz and what a difference. It only upped my 3DMark2001 SE score by 1,700 points but it plays CFS3 a lot better. It's really solid now with even higher framerates. And CFS2 is a lot better too especially when flying 3rd party post WWll jets like the F-15 Screaming Eagle and the Qantas 747 which were really power hogs before.

Alienware Intel D850GB mobo w/P4_1.3GHz 400MHz FSB CPU upgraded to a P4_2.0(A)  with the PowerLeap PL-P4/N adapter and then finally to the P4_2.6GHz. I'm tired of smearing thermal grease!
