I know exactly what you mean Whitey. I have been doing the same thing, but I have mostly been flying at dawn or dusk. I went to Milford airport (NZL) last night which is a very interesting place to fly out of, in the middle of the day. Soon as I saw the result I just thought DAMN this looks good.

The sky is so bright becasue I used VSky.  It's another program to go with FSSky.  Basically you overwrite your overcast cirrus layer with a bright blue layer, so when you put a layr of overcast cirrus on, you get a darker shade of blue higher in the sky.  There's about 20 shades that come with it too! I downloaded Airport Environment Version 3 from Avsim.  Do a File Library search for 'Environment' under FS2002 there to find it. Wink
