I was looking for scenery for my home airport, downloaded and installed it, went to fly and found this little thing sticking up in front of me.  Now I'm no real pilot, just an aviation enthusiast, but what is this?

...

Is it an actual object put on taxiways, or is it just the error of the author? .. It on all the taxiways..

Yeah, they are poorly done.  I looked the FSSE object library and found what it's called, which I didn't think to do before.  It's a "runway edge light"... heh, I think it's in the wrong place?

Also, they show here as well..

...

Well, these "runway edge lights" are found on the arrows of the runway.. now is THIS normal?

Gladly, they aren't found on the centerline of the runway.

lol

I've decided to work my own scenery to KTEB, if anyone cares.

Know where I can find some extra objects for FSSE other than the service packs?

Have you tried the scenery macros here in the downloads section?

hooo...

Question: are most of those macros for FSSE? .. In some file descriptions it doesn't specify what it's for..

Look to me like edge marker lights for airfields that are prone to thick snow.

Maybe you should e-mail the author. I'm sure its a fairly easy problem to solve, and it looks like good scenery apart from that.

Hi Tim...!
It looks as though you have downloaded one of the LAGO Scenery Exchange files for your airport.
I have deleted all my scenery exchange files because they drastically affect the frame-rate...!
I design all my own airfield scenery using fewer FSSE objects for better frame-rates..
By-the-way, the scenery objects are special, and peculiar to LAGO, and cannot be imported from any other source..!

Cheers...
Paul.
