Depends. Most ACCORDS have the transverse V-6 VTEC engines while most CIVICS have the transverse V-4 VTEC engines. However, ACCORDs are heavier cars than the CIVICs. In general, I believe that the ACCORDs with V-6 engines will beat the CIVICs with V-4 engines in a 1/4 mile.

well it depends on which accord and which civic
accords:
Accord I4 : Vtec 4-Speed Auto
Accord I4 : Vtec 5-Speed Manual
Accord I4 : 4-Speed Auto
Accord I4 : 5-Speed Manual
Accord I4 : V6 4-Speed Auto
here are the V6 4 speed auto's stats:

Engine : 3.0 liter 24 valve
Horsepower : 200 @ 5500
Torque : 195 @ 4700
Acceleration : 0-60 mph in 7.8 sec. 1/4-mile in 15.7 sec.
Top Speed : 124 mph
Braking : 60-0 mph in 138 ft.
Roadholding : 0.77 g.

civics:
Civic I4: (EX): 4-speed automatic
Civic I4: (EX): 5-speed manual
Civic I4: (HX): 5-speed manual
Civic I4: (Si): 5-speed manual
the Si:
Engine : 1.6 liter 16 valve
Horsepower : 160 @ 7600
Torque : 110 @ 7000
Acceleration : 0-60 mph in 8.4 sec. 1/4-mile in 16.0 sec.
Top Speed : N/A

so the accord would beat the civic Wink

I'd say the v6 accord.  stock.  now a civic with an acura gsr motor is another story.  Acura RSX type S will smoke them both.
