I only use that Joystick for the Heli's mainly.

I mainly use Saiteks Digital Flight Yoke, and Saiteks Combat Aluminum Rudder peddles and the Saitek Throttle Quadrant for my Propliners & Jetliners.

I fly props mostly and I too have used my Saitec AV8R-01 stick for years. I've dropped it, spilled beer on it, and my dog chewed on it. It's still going strong.

Hi Stigma.
Like Jetranger, I used the AV8R for a long time and it is a great stick, particularly if you like flying twin props like me. Great for the DC3 etc as you can taxi using differencial throttle. I now use a Saitek Pro Flight yoke and throttle quadrant but the AV8R is still in use for rudder control.
I long for some rudder pedals but my wife (SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED) has to be convinced first.

Been using the Saitek X-52 Pro for years... I highly recommend it. Also, Mad Catz provides (at least here in San Diego) GREAT customer service! Hope this helps Smiley

I have been using the Thrustmaster  T.Flight Hotas X for about 3 months now. I really like the separate throttle unit. For about 40 USD it is worth a look.
