I can't seam to approach Beijing (ZBAA) without FS9 crashing. Sometimes I can start FS9 at ZBAA and it will run for a few minutes, then crash. I've tried changing time of day thinking an add-on a/c is the problem. I've changed to a default FS9 a/c with the same results. I tried reducing the terrain complexity and mesh with no luck.  I've tried to fly into the ZBAA airspace from 50 miles away - sometimes I can fly for 2 or 3 minutes, then FS9 goes to a black screen and crashes.
No other area has this problem that I can find.  Also can't find a similar issue searching various help forums.
Any trouble shooting ideas or a different approach to solving this mystery are appreciated.

It could be a bad .bgl file.

Unfortunately I don't know how you could detect or repair this in FS04.  There is a BGL scanner that was  made for FS02 but I don't know if it works with FS04.

A bad day at golf is better than a good day at work.

Hi
you could use the afcad for fs9 and open that airport, from memory it gives the bgl file being used for the original,

Area flies OK on mine.

Normally I could look this up for you but the pc the airport designer is on is out of use at the moment.

regards

steve

May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs, but that is due to change Smiley

Sounds like a political problem to me. Try negotiating a trade agreement with Beijing.
