Yeah, the 4096 by 4096 textures will slow your computer. I put my scenery on medium high so Norton doesn't crash it.

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

The problem is that any time you change your settings the number will revert back to 1024.
This program will keep the Texture Max Load at what you set it to:

It will stay at 4096 until you change any settings in the settings menu. You can restart and it won't change Wink

What else do you installed?  sometimes stuff interfers with it

Are there any lower res textures for this model.  I love the aircraft, model, and systems, but it just lags too much on my system to be any fun.

Odd.
Pretty much every single aircraft lags on my system but this one is pretty lag-less compared to other planes. Grin

Agreed. I had Dino's original payware F-35A and it lagged quite a bit. I then got the 2nd version when it was released as payware and noticed it ran quite well on my system.

My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

A little off topic, but gosh I wish I had my camera with me today. Driving by Eglin I saw a pair of F-35A's flying missed approaches/touch-and-go's. What made it awesome was all the moisture in the air. Couldnt even see the top of the wings with all the vapour!
