Paul,
A nice, balmy 22° F here in the Mile High City! The low last night was 7° F...
Well, at least we got snow for Christmas!
Wishing all a Happy Holiday, and a prosperous New Year!

Blimey, Bass...
Looking at that Winter scenery made me even more depressed that I was before!
Fortunate, at present, the weather here in England is fairly mild; no snow and ice, but gallons of rain falling from the skies crating serious floods everywhere!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-20842890
Fortunately, my house is far above sea level, and a long distance from my local river (River Wye at Herefordshire), so no chance of flooding for me.
I need to be on top of a hill, on a sunny South Sea Island...

Dont be depressed Paul, just want to cheer you up.
I think tho, a little cold is better, than that amount of water you're getting from the Atlantic atm.

Hello Yan..
Following the invasion by the Romans in 1066, I next found myself in the City of London being bombed by the Huns in 1941/42.
A number of us escaped to the countryside and lived on Swede and Turnips until the end of the War.
I got rather fond of Swede and Turnips, so I decided to live safely amongst the Cows and Sheep in the Herefordshire countryside, from where I type this message...
I now await the 3066 invasion of the Burbs from the Planet Ikarus in the Constellation of Orion.
I'll let you all know how I get on...

Definitely too much of the precious Mead, Doug!...
....
My first experience with the invaders were the Romans, in AD 43, under the Generalship of Allovus Platipus...

I much enjoyed motor-biking on their wonderful new road system, (the precursor to Route 66) the North Circular from Londinium.
Much more comfortable than Chariots and horse poo!
My Driving Licence and rear number plate was in Latin!
