Its 10.:30 PM Xmas Eve now...

All the different vegetables are prepared in the various saucepans, and left soaking in cold water overnight, ready for the main assault tomorrow morning, which involves roasting my nice, bronze, corn-fed chicken in my trusty gas oven, preparing my magnificent Gravy Sauce...
...and opening my presents!...Surprise!...

..and consuming even more of this glorious liquid which I am presently clutching in my hand! ...Smiley...!

So...more news tomorrow..and maybe some dinner photos!

Paul....HIC!.... Embarrassed.... Grin... Grin...!

Happy Xmas everyone!... Cheesy...!

Here in Germany, Christmas dinner was last night, Christmas Eve. We had (cooked by my own fair hands):

Duck (with extra crispy skin)
Roast potatoes
Broad beans
Cauliflower
Brussels
Parsnips
Sage and onion stuffing
Onion and mushroom gravy made from the neck and giblets of Donald
White sauce.
A bottle or two of red wine
And to appease the German contingent............Red cabbage....... Sad

Then as an small dessert, two layer chocolate and white chocolate mouse with fudge, chocolate sprinkles and a sponge middle.

This was followed by coffee and brandy.

And imported at great expense, Christmas crackers...............Because they are far to silly for Germans to understand and thus stock.....and compulsory wearing of paper crowns........My mother in law was a picture. Only one problem though, after I had explained the moto's in each cracker to a depth that I did not know was possible in an effort for them to understand, even I did not find them funny anymore............not that they are in the first place............. Grin Grin

I now do not plan on eating anything until my birthday in three weeks.......................
