I live and work in a very large USAF area so there is always something cool flying over. I know these pictures arent great... they were quick, spur of the moment shots.

CV-22 I heard coming and was able to get my camera out in time
...

Heard some jet noise and saw very far away a pair of jets. I could not make out what they were at all because of the distance, and thought perhaps an F-18 but just took a shot anyways. This is what I saw when I blew up the photo
...

And when it is slow at work, several of us play with these
...

So again, not great shots... but just some I wanted to share. Also got some of a Chinook and Seahawk, but the sun kinda ruined the shots.  Angry

Also, what settings do you Canon guys use for shooting aircraft in flight?

My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

I really hope they start flying the 35 out of Boise!! Do they sound like an F16 or like an F18?

Hard to say, kinda has a sound of its own. Has a deeper rumble than an F-16, but I had one fly right over me on final, and the high pitch whine was similar to an F-16.
