Hi All....
Hope someone can help with this. I have a problem with a specific part of the Canada Scenery. Namely the  New Brunswick area. Airports such as Moncton Intl (CYQM) are there. Basically the whole area looks like it's been elevated and there's huge 'spikes' where hills should be.

I had downloaded and installed some freeware 'Mesh' but I've removed it in the hope it might fix the problem, done the same with any other scenery that might affect the area. I'm now beginning to think that there's something very wrong with the original files. Is there anyway please that I can fix this. Where do I look in the 'Scenery Files' for this area of Canada please. Any help would be gratefully received. Spent hours trying to fix this.
Best wishes

As you have installed and removed various Scenery Files and maybe left a bit of a muddle behind.... I would suggest that you now delete your fsx.cfg file, (or re-name it, and save it), and re-run the Sim again to allow it to re-build a new fsx.cfg file.

Paul...FS 2004 and FSX.. Cool...!

Hello Fozzer...
Thanks for taking the time to reply. Ok, I suspected something like that might have happened. Bit worried about messing with the FSX .cfg.  Undecided Not used to going into the 'bowels' of FSX. I'll give it a try. Here comes a silly Q..when you say "Re-run the sim again" Do you mean 're-load' it?  Embarrassed I'll have another look at the link you've given me too. Thanks for that.

Hello Ralph...

Yes....Just reload FSX again and it will automatically build a new fsx.cfg file again based on default settings.
Then you will need to adjust your preferred settings in the FSX various drop-down menus again...resolution, graphics, etc, etc...
...all easy to do!...(Delete, or save the original file if you wish, after renaming it..."oldfsx.cfg"

(The location of the fsx.cfg is given in the help file which I attached)..

Paul... Cool...!

The fsx.cfg and fs9.cfg files are built-up automatically, each time the Sim is loaded, based on the default settings, plus your own preferred settings within the Sim.

Hi Fozzer..
OK,Thanks, I'll give it a go (not sure when though) Luckily I know where the FSX.cfg file is...I needed it once and had the foresight to make a note of how I found it!  Wink You've been a great help. Great site this BTW.
Thanks
Ralphc
