Seen this on CNN, Intersting article on the AirBus A380 and what all is required to put this Aircraft together.  Personally, I think its kinda Ridlicious myself, that we need a passenger Aircraft that Huge that can carry 500+ people / humans on 1 single Aircraft - God Forbid should that thing ever go down with that many Souls on board !

CNN Article: http://www.cnn.com/2012/12/05/travel/airbus-a380-levignac/index.html?hpt=hp_c3

Yet I often wonder just how packed to full capacity these Mega-Airliners Really are every single Flight, "every single Flight", that its Justifyable to use these huge mega liners, that tad bit smaller Airliner could be used instead ??

Sometimes I wonder if its not more EGO Gloating from the Airline Manufacturers to see which can build & have the Biggest Airliner  Roll Eyes

Considering, we've been able to make Trans-Atlantic & Trans-Pacific Flights in the Decades past, not even 1/2 that size .

How much Bigger do we Really Need these Airliners ??  Shocked Shocked

I'll wait for the next Generation of the MEGA-Airliner !
The 10,000 Passenger Capacity Mega - Airliner to come out, capable of holding 10,000 passengers, on a Flight to Whereever your imagination takes you !  Cheesy

I recall reading exactly the same comments over 40 years ago when the Boeing 747 was announced. Since then it has become one of the most popular & successful airliners ever produced.
