Thanks! I picked it up at Flightsim.com (sorry!) Search for "Radon" ("Rodan", might work too).
It's meant for FS2K2/FS9, so the gauges don't work for the "With Controler" model in FSX. The "No Controller" works just fine, with flapping wings and swiveling head

A Godzilla series favorite

It's fun all right! I used fsrecorder and flew the big guy around the "weird" mountains frim one of the "imperfect" terrain meshes for the Soloman Islands, then replayed it as traffic and had loads of fun chasing it around in the F9F Cougar.
As far as stopping, when landing I used the spoilers and it will stop you almost dead in your tracks.

Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Chuck: IMPO, the Cougar is one of the best looking jets ever built. Certainly within the top 5.

Cool aircraft for sure
Has someone made an FSX version I wonder?

Not that I've seen. I used Kazunori Ito's Cougar (No VC) and put together a complete F9F folder by adding in the missing files and folders from other aircraft.
As the download says, "This package is model and texture only and not included VC and this package is not included the flight dynamics file(aircraft.cfg and air file), panel, sound file."
I just saw a FSX F9F panther panel on the SV DL page, so that should work. IIRC, I aliased the sound to the Lear 45, used the .air file from the F-84F and modified the f9f Panther's airraft.cfg (contact points and upped the static thrust).

I wonder what a pilot's license would say for that "aircraft type"
Must surely be fun to play with, nice addon!

My local air museum used to have a flying F9F..until the brakes failed on the landing roll...the pilot barely survived.
At airshows around here once in a blue moon you could see ALL Grumman Cats fly together: Wildcat, Hellcat, Bearcat, Tigercat, Panther/Cougar, and Tomcat. All except the Tomcat came from the museum (they have always had a static '14). Now THAT was an amazing formation and very rare.
