Finally able to design, buy, build, and most importantly; afford my own custom gaming rig! Just been tuning and tweaking FSX for now, managed to squeeze out a few screens. Running at 1080p, AA & Anisotropic, Bloom & ENBseries, almost every single slider maxed (save traffic), FTX, REX and A2A Accu-Feel. Solid and smooth 35-40 fps! discovered a beautiful new feature on my New GTX 660: FXAA! just turned it on along with the frame limiter and vsync in NVIDIA Inspector and POOF! Beauteous Maximus!

And I havent even got around to overclocking!  Smiley

Hi!

Great pics many thanks.  It may seem like a llot of money but compared to real flying prices I see I really think it is money well spent if you like flying virtually.

Here in the UK a 1 hour lesson can cost up to 180-200 pounds which is like 350 USD or something and you need like 40 of them to even get a license or something.  Nuts!

That last pic is the best for me.  Looks suspiciously like Orbx.  Clouds like that would bring my Dell desktop to pieces!

Many thanks,

P.

Thanks for looking! Yes, it is also exspensive in the extreme for flight lessons in the US, one of my dreams until quashed by it's economic reality... (and a weak stomach for motion-sickness, my most-hated physical weakness!) And yes, it IS in fact Orbx, their freeware KHQM Bowerman.

I should see about posting a video sometime, so you could see it in action! Thanks for the kind comments!

I would have opted for a partial liver removal, myself, as a healthy donor can grow back as much as 90% of the liver in as little as two weeks! Wink
Of course, considering my general health it might be more like two months. Smiley

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"
