Throwing my f-16 glove!! (Read 1638 times)

The first one show an old 98 gauge.. Bf.Tupolev.Config
The second similar.. Toggle_Panel
When hitting close, they dont disapear next time i launch the ac.

I've been through some very deep searching on c and slave on every small files, even in registry, with no luck what so ever. None text of these shows in any files  Shocked Sad

Any of you have a clue on whats going on on my pc?

Both panel.cfg's have one FS98 gauge in each of them. Sometimes the gauge listed as being an FS98 gauge the name displayed is not the exact name of the gauge. I have seen this many times. If you would PM me and send the two panel.cfg's via e-mail once we connect via PM I will find the two gauges for you so you can either delete them or swap them for FSX gauges. I have one of the planes and have already fixed mine a long time ago. Bob.

Thank you very much BobF for your offer, but i must agree with Steve M. Hope you understand.

Those two bugs are well hidden inside a gauge/cab or xml file, and win7 search engine can't find anything with that "text" what so ever. XP could do it, but....... Shocked Cool

I've been over uninstalling/reinstalling those planes, but it keeps coming!!

Sorry bass. I don't understand the problem. What keeps coming? I've tried several versions of the Olsson Viper in FSX & get no errors.

Ok, my problem is, every time i launch f-16 in fsx i get some keep up coming old f98 gauge.

1. USVIPER.zip updated with FSX F-16 Viper Update

i get the "Bf.Tupolev.config"! This gauge is not showing anywhere in panel aso, and cant be found.

2. ViperCOANG.zip

i get the "Toggle_panel"! This gauge is not showing anywhere in panel aso, and cant be found.

I just backed up those two ac and installed UsViperX.zip.
I got five old f98 gauges. I manage to close four of them, BUT still i get the "Bf.Tupolev.config" every time i launch the ac.....

Hope you understand me Hager and thanks a lot for looking into this Wink

Something odd here. Your link to the F-16 Viper Update takes me to this page. http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=viper.zip
The only update by Bob Chicilo I can find there is a texture replacement for the original FS2002/4 version of the Viper. It doesn't seem to fit the file description.

I checked that file out in my first reply in this thread. It's the complete aircraft & doesn't need any previous versions of the Viper installed. The panel uses only FSX-compatible gauges which are included in the zipfile. It works fine for me with no errors.

I can't find UsViperX.zip on Simviation. http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=UsViperX.zip&categoryId=&filena...

I can only assume you have other version(s) of the F-16 installed to FSX that are giving you the problem. Are you sure you're selecting the correct aircraft from the FSX Aircraft selection menu?

The link to the viper update is odd to me too.
The link i posted shows the update third last on the page, with a link to the ac requirred!

I have two f-16 installed, as mentioned, and i'm always carefull by selecting dl's to the right sim. Been doing this since fs98.

I've given up on this so many times that one time more wont hurt. But, if bying the Abacus f-16 and still get a bug related to THE ac f-16, which i think it is, would hurt.

OK. I have it now.  I tried the Viper from your link in FSX & all works as advertised. This is how it appears on the selection menu. (Note there are 5 variations.)

No incompatible gauges are included with the package. Only one gauge needs verifying.

I still suspect you have one or more F-16s installed to FSX that you don't realise are there. It's very easy to miss them if you don't know the folder names. To remove the panel of USViperX from the equation please try aliasing it to the default b747_400. I assume you know how to do this. (Back up the existing Panel.cfg first.) Now try selecting it in FSX. The Viper should now have the B747 panel. If the problem still persists it's nothing to do with this file.

Yes, I realise that. Did you try downloading the file from that link?

I got those inside too with bugs, but i aint got any other f-16 than mentioned.....

Just dl'ed abacus f-16..
YOU CAN GET IT NOW FOR $10

but i'm surely not impressed with the vc (no bugs)

The rest is looking fine

Did try the alliazing with other panels, but you need to transfer a lot to get the vc to work then.

You missed my point. Forget the VC for a moment. The purpose of aliasing to a default panel was a temporary measure. A process of elimination by removing all traces of the original panel from the Viper package. As I can't duplicate your problem I'm afraid this will have to remain a mystery.

If you saved your 10$ , and got 20 more, you could have got the Aerosoft F16, which is the best F16 for flightsim.
