Downloaded the FSX Gazelle AS-341 Heli - and Injected it into "FSX Gold / Acceleration

Fine lookin Ride, like it ~ !!

Only problem is - you'd think you was at a Bar B Q' !  Grin Grin

All it does is Smoke , really Badd too  Shocked

I checked the Aircrafts CFG File for any unusual entries, I didn't see anything, under the effects entry, so, I'm assuming in the in air file ??? Sad

Heres the Link - 3rd one down from the Top : http://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=+as341&x=30&y=11

That is rather strange to look at...  I do not know what to do in order to remedy the problem with the helicopter, but that smoke looks like the engine start effect.  Check the cockpit to see if the starter switch is flipped or something like that.

Naw, usually something is tied to a FILE like the "Cranky Howard" or "Jenny Engine Start" - within the Aircrafts CFG File , under "EFFECTS".

Tho theres nothing under the Effects file as far as any of these.

Leads me to believe its tied in with the Aircrafts "AIR FILE" somehow - someway?

See Examples of some Aircraft with these type of Engine Starting Effects, that can produce realistic smoke effects at start up on "Prop Aircraft" mainly.

Did you check out my link?

Quote:
Open Aircraft.cfg of the Gazelle in Notepad.
Scroll down to the [GeneralEngineData] section & change the engine type to 3 (Helo-Turbine) like this.

[GeneralEngineData]
engine_type=
3
                                          //0=Piston, 1=Jet, 2=None, 3=Helo-Turbine, 4=Rocket, 5=Turboprop
Engine.0=-2.30, 0.0,  3.00                        //(feet) longitudinal, lateral, vertical distance from reference datum
fuel_flow_scalar=0.8
min_throttle_limit=0.000000

Exit Notepad saving changes when prompted.

Come on, Jetranger HANNIBAL. You know that we don't allow linked images here Angry

I removed the [img] tags. I'm growing tired of cleaning up after you. Please follow the guidelines Wink

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"
