..may soon be made illegal!

After my many years of enjoying FS Navigator in my FS 2000, FS 2002, and FS 2004 flight Sims, Helge Schroeder has now made the same wonderful program available for FSX enthusiasts, called; "FS Tramp"...>>>

http://www.fstramp.com/

A wonderful addition to FSX, and highly recommended!

It has opened a renewed interest in my FSX which I didn't have before, after enjoying the same program in my trusty FS 2004!... Kiss...!

Give it a try, (free demo for a while), it opens an all-new World in FSX with all the data it supplies for Radio Navigation, airfield details, moving map, airfield layout,....and..the location of all the fuel pumps!

Wonderful stuff!

Paul...FS 2004...FSX...and a Big Grin!... Grin...!

P.S...I found I needed BOTH SP 1, AND SP 2 installed for the program to display!
I also changed the default Hot Key to F9, the same as FS Nav!

FSNav was a wonderful program.

This one is certainly not cheap, but...very tempting.

It really is an excellent program...

...as well as showing the Airfield layout and the Fuel Pump locations, it also displays the other Pilots appearing in Multiplayer mode!

So you wont get lost again!

Paul...FS 2004+FS Nav+Plan-G+Tramp/FSX+Plan-G+Tramp!

I use both FS Nav and Plan-G v2.0.5, for my FS 2004, but for FSX I find that Tramp shows the positions of all the Fuel Pumps, where installed, (important for me), and also has a built-in "Multiplayer" option (like FS Nav).
Tramp also updates the contents of the page much quicker than Plan-G.
I like running BOTH Tramp AND Plan-G to get the best of both programs.
(Plan-G v 2.0.5 contains the various (very nice!) Google Satellite Map variations).
Most/all of my flights still use FS 2004, so I am still experimenting with Tramp and Plan-G on FSX!

My advice would be; give BOTH Tramp AND Plan-G a try on FSX, (and FS 2004!).

Paul... Cool....!

...actually... Wink....

I have got rather used to "Windowed Mode" in FS 2004 and FSX for my particular use, because it enables me to have various applications instantly available in the Task Bar, such as The Flight Sim, Plan-G, REX Weather, Desktop, etc, making it just a Mouse click in the Task Bar to bring them up to the front!

I'll give Tramp a try in Full Screen Mode...to see if it works.. Wink...!
(You keep forcing me to use FSX... Angry... Grin...).

Paul....When I'm cleaning windows!... Smiley...!

P.S....fired up FSX, (Tramp loads automatically with FSX, and appears in the Flight Sim "Add-on" Menu).
Tried Tramp in Full Screen Mode...
The Tramp Interface loads up, but the actual; "Map" area is not displayed, when in Full Screen Mode. It is mostly blank.
A quick flick back to "Windowed Mode" again, and the Map area appears again!

Paul....Windows 7 Home. 32-bit.... Smiley...!

Give it a try...Its free to try!...>>> http://www.fstramp.com/

Thank you so much for that info. Pretty much will skip this one then.

Yes, windowed mode for me is a no go, tried it, hate it.

I just cannot see why devs could not just add it into fullscreen, heck the devs who made GSX, FsP etc. could do it, why not movig map devs  Cry

Such a pitty though, would have loved a map working in fullscreen.

I get lost all the time in FSX  Embarrassed

FSX, (unlike FS 2004 and the earlier versions), has a strange quirk, I don't know why, in that it requires operating in "Windowed Mode" for certain programs/applications.

Bite the bullet, and give it a try (its FREE!), it is so useful for all sorts of Navigation (so you don't get lost!), and if you are a regular Multiplayer, remember that that has to be run in Windowed Mode anyway, and in that application, it is worth its weight in gold!

Experiencing the benefits of FS Navigator for FS 2004 for many years, if I was a regular flyer in FSX I wouldn't hesitate to go out and buy the fully registered version of FSTramp.
It works the same for FSX, as FS Nav does for FS 2004!

Paul....trampling all over the World... Cool...!

Windowed mode is not so much the problem, Plan-G also has to be run in windowed mode anyhow. Will give it a further try when I'm back home.

Carlo... Wink...!

As FS Tramp runs inside The Flight Sim, (the same as FS Nav), you may find that it loads and updates much quicker than Plan-G, which runs external to the Flight Sim!

Paul.

Tip: I assigned the F9 key to FS Tramp, the same as FS Nav!...familiarity!... Grin...1
