As Flight Simulators go, the best is surely X-plane. Smiley

I adore FS9 to bits, but it can't really considered the best actually around. Cry

As far as simulators go x-plane and FSX are at the top.
The thing about x-plane is the phisics...Their calculations can't be great if they have to do it all in real-time. Wink
While in FSX the problem is the default stuff M$ gives us. Roll Eyes

I fly FSX, but honestly, I chose FS9.  It was a very stable platform that performs well on my machine and I experience very little issues with it.  My only problem with FS9 was the water graphics, but beyond that, I felt the sim was solid.  The only reason why I fly FSX these days is because that's where the payware is at, which has come a long way in advancement.

Cheers,
RB

I have FSX and DSC A10/KA50

The DSC work well with my system.

FSX and the ORBX AU, ORBX Brisbane/Melboune tend to bog the program down Sad

Well I must say...

..after having CFS1/2, FS '98, FS 2000, FS 2002, FS 2004, FSX, and Flight, and trying a few others, I must admit, that at the moment, FS 2004 is my pride and joy... Cheesy...!
My upgrade from FS 2002, (which is very good), required me being dragged kicking and screaming into to FS 2004, and the further upgrade to FSX left me very disappointed, mainly due to my inadequate Hardware installation being unable to run it at maximum settings, which I am used to in my present FS 2004... Kiss...!
I also have a number of very important FS 2004 utility programs, etc, which were not included for FSX.
So, at the moment, I am more than happy with my FS 2004...I does everything I want it to do, (almost), as a Flight Simulator!... Wink...!
FSX gets an occasional try-out, but without a major, very expensive hardware upgrade, it really doesn't get much use, compared to my FS 2004.
Therefore, for me, its FS 2004...(and I suspect, a few others.. Wink..), all the way!... Smiley...!

Paul.... Cool...!

FS9 is the better sim if you go for smooth and troublefree running, FSX is better for graphics and dynamics. Luckily I have a pc that can run FSX very well. Still have FS9 installed but hardly ever use it anymore.

Six years down the line, even FS2000 could be used without too many slowdowns, on the vastly more powerful hardware of 2006 (compared to the hardware of 2000, it was)... Tongue

Inheritance from daddy (FS2000) to sonny (FSX)... [sarcasm]both surely to be remembered as the non-plus-ultra best coded versions of FS[/sarcasm]. Grin

PS
When will the results of this poll be shown? Christmas? Huh

I voted for FSX.

I don't think X-Plane can even compete with FSX. Hopefully version 11 will be somewhat competitive.
