Fantastic from inside Captain Garrett "Mace" Dover's F-16 during a short F-16 demo followed by a USAF Heritage flight with a P-38 flown by Steve Hinton.

Very few things get a lump in my throat as fast as seeing a Heritage Flight formation. There is something special seeing the old flying with the new.

Question for those outside the US, does any other air force do a heritage flight?

Well the RAF probably does one, but I wouldn't know.

The RNZAF does a small one with a Tiger Moth & Harvard.

The RAF does not do regular heritage flights. I believe there has been the odd formation flypast with a Tornado & BBMF Spitfire on special occasions over the years. Also this one at RIAT in 2010 --> Typhoon and Spitfire Duo

Its a shame there is not another nation doing this regularly. Other air forces should be proud of their legacy and show it off. Especially the RAF, the have the planes to do it and I believe the RCAF could easily do it as well.

Although the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight does a fantastic job!  Cool
Heck that is the only reason I watch any event that covers the Royal Family..to watch for the Hurricane, Spitfire, and Lancaster in formation  Cool
