Well, it's results day and it's the time of year where everyone finds out which university they're going to (if at all).

I managed to stay up until about 4am waiting to find out, then eventually fell asleep. I woke up to a lovely text from Coventry University asking if I would like to come and join them for the next 3 years to study Mechanical Engineering with them. Naturally I said yes!  Tongue

The bad news? Well firstly my college is closed for another hour so I can't get the grades, and I have run out of booze!

Thanks. I leave 5 weeks tomorrow, so it's a real rush to get everything sorted. But at least I know which halls I'm going to, and I'm just facebook stalking finding out who else is staying in the same flat as me.

Hopefully I'll be able to get a place with the University Air Squadron and start some adventures and flight training too. It's gonna be fun!

Haha so true.  Tongue Grin

I'm not sure what a transfer student is, as that's not a term that I've ever heard over here. I've finished college (a 2 year course, which lasted me 3 years... Oops! But it's free, so that's okay!) and then I go to a completely unrelated university. The college and university have nothing to do with each other, and I don't take any credits over, I start anew there. So all my college work is college stuff, and my university work is university stuff.

Everyone does the same though, we all apply by January, then get offers (for grade requirements, etc) from the university by March, and then choose the top two universities by May. So I had to get a certain number of grades from certain subjects from my college, and then they'll accept me onto the course.
