Meat Lasagne...Las-an-ya.
75 Pence, chilled, in a tray, from the Supermarket.
Popped in the oven, middle shelf, Gas Mark 5, for 25 minutes.
Served on a pre-heated Plate..with a glass of "what-you-fancy"..
..and you / me have a heart-warming Supper Dish before bed!
What could be nicer...
...!
Paul...
...!
It may look like something left over from a serious operation....
...but...my goodness... it tastes nice...trust me...

...Yep!....

Its one of those meals which take
AGES
to make yourself, with ready cooked minced Beef and Tomato sauce, interleaved between layers of thin Pasta...
...my variety, takes, ready prepared, from the Supermarket, 25 minutes in the oven, with no messing about!
Instant eating!...(with no messing about!)...

Stouffer's makes a lasagna italiano variety that is the best frozen lasagna I've ever eaten.
They make it in different sizes: party size, family size and individual size.
Highly recommended and I hope it's available in your neck of the woods!

Stouffer's makes French Bread Pizza's that are so darn good and so blasted fattening. It's one of those guilty pleasures you have no will power to resist.
I love Macaroni & Cheese made with white cheese. Probably as fattening as anything, but Lord have mercy is it good.....
For some strange reason, I have a rumbly in my tumbly.....

In "The Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin", towards the end of the series, the late Leonard Rossiter gets in a car or cab and starts off mumbling something like "Ravioli, ravioli, and more ravioli" for reasons I've long since forgotten. But the phrase stuck.
I recently discovered Mona's frozen ravioli, which is really amazingly good, just thaw and boil, so I'm on a ravioli roll now.
Mom used to make incredible lasagna from scratch, including the sauce, mama mia, what I would give to just have a bit of it right now. And stuffed shells. Unbelievable. What great flashbacks. Yeah, took a while to make. She would make the sauce ahead of time in batches and freeze it, that helped cut the time down.
Unfortunately, the sauce recipe, which would have been handed down via her mother, via Italy itself, has been lost forever. I never thought to ask Mom to write it down. Not sure I could dupe it anyway, I can't cook, really, but just to have the recipe, the real Italian family thing, would have been great.
I can't find frozen lasagna that equals the Mona's ravioli. Stouffer's is very good, but the Mona's ravi beats all.
Now if I may be excused, this month's edition of 'Ravioli Today' has just arrived, gotta catch up in the latest developments in ravioli technology.

Well done, Apex!...
...!
I know we are not supposed to eat before we go to bed on a full tummy, but one of my greatest joys is retiring to my Kitchen late in the evening to rustle up something really, REALLY, tasty for Supper whilst watching a late-night film!....
...!
..and a couple of glasses of; "whatever takes your fancy", all adds to the invigorating experience!
Paul...the joys of cooking!...
...
...!
For Supper tonight...Special Egg Fried Rice with Ham and sliced Mushrooms; crusty, buttered bread..and a glass (or three!) of you-know-what!..

I like to make my own, I once made a chicken tikka lasagne (I had some leftover chicken tikka), God but it was good! I've made it a number of times since, even the kids love it!

Nothing better than home made italian fare!
In my lasagna, I usually mix in some italian sausage with the ground beef, for flavor.
