It's a while since I posted any photos. Here's a few taken last Friday at Shoreham during the 4-day Eastbourne show. Not as many display aircraft based here as in previous years.
Paul Bonhomme, one half of the Matadors display team.
Back in Breitling colours
New on the display circuit. A nicely restored Bucker Bestmann. Shame about the modern engine.
A rare bird.
Spitfire Mk Ia P9374
The Aircraft Restoration Co Hispano Buchon.
PS. Saturday was not one of my better days. I missed the Vulcan doing a low pass down the runway in formation with the Blades aerobatic team.
Even worse, I also missed this.

Great shots, where were you shooting from?
I sailed down in our dinghy from Pevensey Bay SC with 2 of my grandchildren on Friday. We parked up just west of the pier with all the other boats just outside the exclusion zone. The display although not as good as previous years was still very good and the weather was fantastic. Well done Eastbourne.
The Vulcan cost the local rate payers £12,000 and it seems the local authority are reluctant to finance next years show. Mind you, they seem to say that every year. The overall cost of the show is about £2.00 per rate payer (if memory serves).

Wonderful shots Doug, our Mk I friend I've seen out of Booker a number of times. Lovely
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

It may have cost £12K, but on the flip side, they may never have it again. It won't be around for too much longer IMHO.

My old spotting haunt at Shoreham Airport. Eastbourne has no airfield so some of the display aircraft are based here during the show.
