Goodly afternoon all... Smiley

Thought I would take the time and do a short simulated flight in the DeHavilland DHC-2 Beaver.

This week Wahubna "Adam" one of our Simviation Members did his fifth (5th) post of Plane of the Week right here at Simviation>Real World>Specific Aircraft Types.

This week his fine commentary was on the DeHavilland of Canada DHC-2 "Beaver" and the DHC-3 "Otter".

Adam also provided some fine Links with great information on both aircraft.

Well done again Adam... Wink

There are some fine Beavers available here at the Simviation FSX Download site but no single radial engine Otters.
I found the FS2004 Otter is missing switches and guages when used in FSX.

There you go you Freeware Developers, give us a FSX single radial engine DHC-3 "Otter" on Floats, Amphibious Floats, Wheels and Wheel/skis.

FSX and Windows 7
ORBX Scenery
REX 2
FSWC...Flight Simulator Water Configurator
Aircraft.....Aerosoft DHC-2 "Beaver"
Location...Sand Island to Wake Island
Season.....Summer and Late Evening

Lots of great Freeware at the Simviation Download Site for FSX folks...have a look... Wink

Leaving Sand Island...on course for Wake Island...
...

Shots #2 and #3 are cockpit shots...
...

...

Could not resist doing a couple of touch and goes...I get bored easy... Grin...Full Flap

...

Off we go again...Takeoff Flap
...

Getting back on route...
...

Comments and advice most welcome... Wink

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"
