Hi guys,

After a long absence from flight simming I'm dipping my toes back in the water. I've just gotten myself up and running with FSX and I'm just looking for some advice as to what are the best freeware and payware addons right now, and what are the must haves before I get wired in.

I should add that I fly mainly military aircraft but I'm partial to regional style civil airlines.

Cheers,

Richard.

If you can afford it, and have the time to learn it, PMDG 737NGX.  I got it the day it came out, and its been the best.

First and foremost, REX. The single best all around upgrade you can buy! Buy this first!

My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Takes a small hit, really, it's unnoticeable

This exact question comes up so often about the best add ons for FSX........I think we need an updated "sticky" here in the FSX sub-forum.
We could post it and let members add their favorite sceneries and aircraft to the list over time.

I'll bring the idea up in the dungeon and see if it floats Wink

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

This is why we have payware forum as separate ...

For any sticky thread  - we need to have a separate thread in payware for the best of that and here for the best of freeware.

The new sticky is up for freeware add ons. Please put any new suggestions for freeware add ons there. I'll have one up shortly in the payware section for payware products Wink
