Its amazing how quickly my post of describing the grief and misery of the poor folks of Colorado, suffering the death and injury inflicted on their friends and in loved-ones, by a lone, "fruit-case", Gunman, can degenerate into a glorification of American Gun Culture....

Aww, come on Foz, what else can you expect from a country which, in it's national anthem..."the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air..."

Any thread such as this will always have a gun debate running within in it. The problem being that in many peoples eyes, a person such as this represents all gun owners..........

Whilst its a horrible thing to have happened I do have a Question.
Why would you take a six year-old to a midnight screening of Batman?

That's a very good point Andy. Perhaps young children being subjected to more & more violence on the screen is part of the problem. I see this film has a 13-PG certificate in the US. My 7 year-old granddaughter wouldn't be allowed to watch it anyway, whatever time of day it was.
