Hi all,

I take my laptop to work and have  a fly at dinner time on fsx and fs9.
I even keep a joystick at work.
The joystick I have at home is new and not used yet, I suspect button naming is different between the 2 ( not checked)

I can't see a reason not to have 2 fs9.cfg for each joystick and controls.xml for fsx.

Anybody please reply if they think I can have 2 setups and a simple batch file to swap between one joystick and the other.

regards

Steve.

May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs, but that is due to change Smiley

I think you can just make the assignments for the new joystick to the default file. I believe others do that, for instance, to swap between a joystick and yoke.

The sims accept multiple input devices (which each have a unique ID) and keeps their assignments in seperate sections.

When the sim starts is 'sees' the current device(s) and uses the assignments for that device.
