Some of you are aware that I was working on a little scenery project for helicopters located in Death Valley using the MCDMilitary Object Library.

Well, it kind of grew up........I ended up adding a STOL runway and I also added another airfield for fighters and bombers which is intended to replace my old DWTF scenery (details in the included  read me).

I uploaded it to the SimV main site a few minutes ago......in the meantime here are some shots.

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Great shots & great scenery Chuck. Wink

Did you make any of the objects yourself or was it all from the MCDMilitary Object Library?

AMAZING!!!  I just wish I could download.  Cry
For some reason, I can't download anything now.  Whenever I try to download anything, it says I've reached the two download at a time limit, even though I'm not downloading anything! Cry
Any ideas?  I've tried deleting all of the internet history, cookies, etc. this thing has, I've rebooted the computer and the router multiple times over, and it still doesn't work. Sad

Ah!  Mine does that too for me a lot of times, but i've figured out a fix for it!  I've found that FSX absolutely HATES having ANYTHING else open during the startup loading.  Once you get to the screen where you can pick aircraft, weather, etc., it does fine with other things.
Just shut down anything else you have running on your computer, ESPECIALLY INTERNETS, and if you need them on while you're flying or something, just start them back up once FSX is up and going. Cool
Hope that helps! Smiley

Thanks, guys Cool

@Club.......Have you tried using a download manager like   Flashget ?
Probably not your problem........but maybe worth a shot Wink

@Xpand........If I would have had a plan it would not have taken long at all Grin
It goes together really fast once you have a direction to go in.........ADE9X is a pretty intuitive program that I find relatively easy to use Cool

@Andy......no, I didn't create any objects in this scenery. I have downloaded Google Sketch Up and GMax so I can begin to learn how to create my own stuff  though Wink

@BlackAce........ Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I noticed that Pete approved the upload and it's available at the Simviation download site if anyone is interested Cool

VERY nice Chuck!  D/L'd and installed last nite. Cool

Nice job on the runway!  That puppy is sooooo long I could let my B-1 coast to a stop. Cheesy

But I am having a difficulty......the new base is pretty near to where the DWTS was, BUT, my goofy self cannot find the Heli Base to save me life! Embarrassed

@ Club:  Same thing happened to me with the download limiter and I posted about here a long time ago....the solution is that it's a cookie problem tricking the website into thinking you have downloads in progress, even though that ain't the case.  I cleared my cookies and the problem went away.

Hope that helps!
