Yup I've been here that long, lurking and causing chaos!
And today I am 40 years old! There is no danger of me doing any growing up anytime soon. I'm planning to celebrate entering middle age by wearing my favourite Hawaiian shirt, playing Scalextric (I have possibly the largest privately owned track in Europe) and having Nerf Gun fights with my kids. We will also been playing quite a bit of snooker (alas my table is only a half-sized one).
I will be eating too much, drinking too much and just enjoying the hell out of my day!
You're only young once, you can be immature indefinitely and believe me I'm in no hurry to grow up... seems to make you miserable
So party time at Chateau Oz
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

welcome to the 40 ,I'll be 50 in 3 years after 40 you no longer worrie about the age
the male 40 crisis
Ahh ,I forgot at some point you will start thinking about your mortality ,you will feel like the life was short , and suddenly you will want to start doing crazy things ,like jumping in parachutes or racing cars ,the worse symptoms at this age at some point (40-50) you will be scare and realize that life its too short and maybe you will be scare sometimes ,try not to think about it too much about it
Happy Birthday Mark

Says I've been here since March 2002. I think there was a major forum change around then, and some of us have been around longer than that.

Happy Birthday Mark and many Happy Returns...
I am twice + your age now and here is what the old girl has observed:
-we both gave up our flying medicals
-we both passed again our drivers tests
-we still do our own cooking...seldom eat out
-still sociable drinkers...just I get chuck full of sociability
sometimes
-we have cut our four and five mile walks back to a mile
once a day now
-still go to exercise class
-the old girl say's I can work all day in a 45 gallon drum,
get dirty and still not accomplish anything...
-I still hate electronic gizmoes...televisions...computers
-we both still think Land Rovers are still the best vehicle
in the world
-the old girl still chews the rag but I am the quiet type...
hardly say a word I do...can't get one in...
Retirement...We love it along with all four season Mother Nature can bring...
Simviation:...been here 7years, 2months and 12days...
Enjoy your day Mark...
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Alex, I started bungee jumping at 17, parachuting at 18, rock climbing at 20.
For relaxation I also used to do rallying and skiing.
There's no danger of me wearing tartan slippers or catching that horrible sanity thing anytime soon
Think I might have overdone things with lunch mind you... I feel like I've swallowed a whole water melon!
