120,000ft skydive to be attempted - bad article writing involved (Read 664 times)

While it sure is some feat to make this 120,000 foot jump, what amazes me more is the writers complete lack of knowledge, or even the sense to fact check themselves.

Just read the last paragraph to see what I mean! lol

Earlier Yahoo called the U-2 a "U-2 Stealth Bomber". Huh Grin

Yes apparently the writer looked at the comments and changed what it said.

It had previously said that the guy will wear a space suit similar to what pilots of the U-2 stealth bomber wear.

Isn't the terminal speed for a human in freefall around 200 and something Kph?
How the heck will he gain the other 1025 Kph?

Seems unlikely. He's small and slow. The space shuttle got a bit of a glow because it was huge and going at about 17000mph into the atmosphere Grin
