With mothers day just past and fathers day coming up soon I wanted to take a moment and reflect on life.

They told me to pay attention in school, get good grades they said, go to college they said, get good grades there they said.

Growing up I didn't like those words. I was a kid, I wanted to have FUN! Why study when there's this nifty computer game called flight simulator?  Cheesy

But over time I began to study a little more, my grades got better and I got into college and after a few years graduated with several degrees (one being in aviation!).

After finishing college all of that studying had paid off, I worked my way into an organization with plenty of opportunity to move up and had good benefits.

While finishing up my degree I met, fell in love, and eventually married the love of my life on 9/16/2011. I owe the success of my relationship with my wife to the values that my parents raised me with.

A few weeks ago though, I found the true reason my parents had always pushed me to strive towards excellence. They were trying to make sure that after graduation and throughout my life I would be instilled with the proper upbringing and knowledge to be successful in today's world.

Almost 3 weeks ago my new bride and I took possession of our first home. It's not as big or fancy as we originally pictured our first home to be, but it far exceeds what charm and character many of the other homes that we looked at had.

This my friends is what I consider the all american dream.

A many blessings to you and your new bride and home. My wife and I have been in our home almost 7 years now. I bought the house I grew up in since 13 from my father. Oh the memories here as a kid and now the master bedroom of my parents is now mine......damn odd Grin. My old bedroom is now my office...again,who knew. Beautiful layout you have by the way. I would love to see some interior shots.

I've been to war, been all over the world, have the best wife in all the land (we all say it)....She is my Queen...

Cherish it man..cherish it. New home..old home...this stuff doesn't come easy but man what a ride! A day isn't wasted if a memory is made! Look,Listen,Feel...Adapt,overcome,embrace as a unit..Humor is key! Whilst this may be a bit of a rambling others may agree. Your in for a ride! Embrace it together and oh the stories you get later!

Caught me in one of my moments with this topic Cheesy

In short. A blessing on your new home, new wife,New life. There is no I in team  Grin...you'll see Cheesy (listen she's always right!) Grin Grin Grin Grin

God Bless

Mike

The world needs a lot more Jareds.......and a lot more Mikes too.  Y'all have your heads in the right perspectives.

But then.....

If there was too many Mikes and Jareds I'd be out of a job! Cheesy

Thanx for posting that Jared.  Your wife is a fortunate lady it seems.

Yours too Mike.

God Bless and God Speed gentlemen!

Dont forget the past, take it into your life and live with it.
Your parents gave you so much, then make sure you give something again to yours!
Hope you understand.
