Well, I had all the United paints in 737 form seince Unitied got there 737's, I thought I would do a montoage of the paints. Planes used: Captain Sim 737-200, PMDG 737-700/800 BTW...Bouns Points to whoever can guess where I'm at. Grin

United's FriendShip paint from 1960's-1974

...

The Rainbow Scheme paint used from 1974-1993

...

The 'Battleship Grey' paint, and my personal fav Cool. Used from 1993-2003(however it was still used up until the merger)

...

The 'Blue Tulip" used from 2004-2011

...

The Current Continental/United Merger paint, 2011-Present

...

And yes, I know United didn't use the NG until the merger.  I couldn't find my Wilco 737-500 to use the paint so I used the NGX minus winglets. Tongue

Cool! I like the blue tulip one, but I'm not a big fan of the current livery with the orange globe on the tail. Just my preference though Wink

Great shots. Wink

My Favourite is either 'Battleship Grey' or the Friendship paint.

Thought it might be Paine Field but i cant find that spot you are at in FSX so i guess not Sad I cant find any other info as to where Boeings go after manufacture - And it cant be Renton as the 727 was built there.....

"After construction they make one flight, over to BFI where they are painted and fitted out to customer specifications"

Unless its some kind of museum or somthing. But the 747/737 prototypes are at the museum of flight, but theres also a 727 there!

I give up... Smiley

http://www.museumofflight.org/aircraft/boeing-727-022

"One of the world's classic airliners, the Boeing 727 was developed to provide economic low-altitude, high-speed cruising capability. From the time it was first flown, in February of 1963, until production ended in 1984, a total of 1,832 had rolled off factory lines and had seen service with more than 100 different airlines.
The Museum's airplane was the first 727 ever produced. Following the conclusion of Boeing's flight-test program, it entered regular passenger service with United Airlines. It is currently undergoing restoration at the Museum's Restoration Center in Everett, Washington.

Which it appears to have been doing since at least 2004 - http://rbogash.com/727adopt.html Huh

So where exactly is it?
