Well come on... It's not real...
You don't care about sound restrictions and reduced power takeoffs and crap like that in a virtual game...
Sound restrictions...
Does that matter in a vulcan?
We used to get visiting VC10's at the airport I work at. If I was in the office when it took off, it sounded like the hangar roof was being ripped of by banshees of hell. If I was on the ramp as it left;
1. It gave your kidneys a good work out.
2. Your ears would ring for three days following.
3. The Green party would turn up and complain about the dense black smoke hanging in the air.
4. The airport switchboard would go into melt down with people complaining about the noise.
5. The cries of small children could be heard once the aircraft was about 20 miles away and out of sound shot.
6. We would have no problems with wildlife on the airport for several days following. Rabbits only came out when the could no longer stand the hunger pangs.
7. You could easily identify anyone who had been on the ramp during VC10 take off as they all shouted any conversation for the next two days.
VC10, the sound of real jet noise. The Rolls Royce Conway first turbofan to enter service and the last to leave......
A sub note, I spent around a year building them in a previous life. Unlike the RB299 of the Tornado that look months of OJT to get up to speed, the Conway took a couple of weeks
