It's been awhile since I've flown privately or online and am now just before the process of installing FSX Gold to a new pc with Windows 7 operating system.   I have a Westell DSL modem and a Netgear router in-line before my pc system.  My question, in order to 'foward ports' and fly online should I set up a "static" ip or a "static nat" in either or both the modem and router.  I'm not sure I understand the difference between the two..static ip and static nat.  Also, it's a small understanding that windows 7 also has the capability for setting static IP although I'm not sure how that would help here.

Sorry folks, I looked for a technical room and didn't find one.   Any help appreciated.

Hello Horseman... Smiley...!

Pop down to the Multiplayer Forum, and all will be explained there, how to connect to Multiplayer sessions for FS 2002, FS 2004, and FSX...

Very easy to do, with just a few clicks!

Fozzer. Well, 2004 is easy to join, but fsx is not!
Game spy is locking everything (exp user name) and you are not allowed to use any port or net id.
So, its not just a pop down  Cool
