Paul, I can safely say I miss winter. We did not get a decent winter here in Michigan so I miss the snow!  Smiley

For someone who is getting rather long in the tooth, a bit on the thin side, and therefore suffering during cold weather, I can never understand any Folks willingness, and happiness, to live in cold climates, and cold conditions!

Like a Butterfly, I need warmth to bring me to life!

Paul....A warm-blooded creature!... Cool...!

I may not be old, but I am as skinny as a rail I promise you that! (like a buck 40)
I do have to say though that the last time I went winter/late fall flying when we took off in my uncle's Cessna 182 we could see dozens of deer waltzing around in the woods. Michigan can be a spectacular place to fly with a very homey feel  Smiley

I suppose it may be something to do with your Genes, modified over many years to get accustomed to the Climate that you and your forebears were born into.
A planetary Northerner and Southerner would be quite happy existing in cold climates.

Folks living on the Equator, just like it warm and cosy!

Me, in my temperate British English climate (Scotland is too far North!), will be reasonably happy in a "comfortable" climate...not too hot...and not too cold...around 68-72* Fahrenheit...all year long...please!... Kiss... Grin...!

I am forever putting clothes on, and taking clothes off, to try and maintain a "comfortable" temperature, indoors and outdoors...
...on occasions, during warm conditions, I can be often be observed just wearing my Birth Day Suit!......Be very afraid!... Shocked...!

Paul... Grin... Grin.. Grin...!

Hi "wahubna"... Smiley

That is just one of the perks of winter flying and a wonderful one it is... Wink

Try a Hot Air Balloon Flight during the winter...no coat necessary while in the air...it is warm... Smiley

Low and slow and the view of wild life is wonderful not to mention the scenery also... Wink

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
