Goodly morning all... Smiley

Last night on the television show "Canadian Pickers" they were at Buffalo Airways which is why we watched the show... Grin

Awesome what Buffalo Joe has in storage... Grin

Ice Pilots is one of the few television programs we watch but are unable to get now for some reason.

It has been off our cable supplier for several months or more now.

Anyone know what has happened to Ice Pilots in Ontario, Canada?

I can't find anything on the internet about the show being cancelled here in Ontario and our cable supplier has no idea or say over what programs are aired.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

No problem! if it makes you feel any better for a while it was only on Nat Geo at my parents house but here at WMU I do not get that channel...then when my wish was granted and Ice Pilots changed to a channel I have, it ended up being on the one night of the week that is a guaranteed hell with college! Every time I watch "Ice Pilots", and "Ice Road Truckers" on the TV, and observe all that snow, ice, and freezing cold, I get an overwhelming desire to move to a warm South Sea Island, wearing my straw hat, Bermuda shorts, and sandals, and supping a Gin and Tonic, whilst seating on a hot sandy beach, and taking in the view of the Blue Pacific Ocean....and the Hula-hula girls!

Paul...in my dreams!... Roll Eyes..!

Paul, I can safely say I miss winter. We did not get a decent winter here in Michigan so I miss the snow!  Smiley

For someone who is getting rather long in the tooth, a bit on the thin side, and therefore suffering during cold weather, I can never understand any Folks willingness, and happiness, to live in cold climates, and cold conditions!

Like a Butterfly, I need warmth to bring me to life!

Paul....A warm-blooded creature!... Cool...!

One thing I am amazed at watching Ice Pilots and Flying Wild Alaska, is the number of big, wide, paved runways scattered across the wilderness in these areas.  Most have some history of being used during WWII or the Cold War, but I do find it interesting.

The episode I just saw had a DC-3 divert to Watson Lake because of an engine problem.  Watson Lake is a remote town of 1,500 people in British Columbia, but they have a 5,500 x 150 wide nice paved runway.

There is only 13 episodes per season. Last season, of course, can be still be viewed on the internet. Hopefully they will get reasigned for another season. Although I have always disliked the (repetitive) narration, I love the people and the trials they go through to supply the North!  Cool I suggest Emailing them and telling them you want more. I've done this with other shows and even got what I asked for once.
