this people has taken a model and making money with it

I put a lot of effort ,I can't deal with this anymore ,and its fear to claim that I wont be making more things for FS series

the same as the MD83 ,the recent 737 cockpit its every where without even mention me at all, Its being upload it with other 737 types ,like erasing all traces of the modeler ,I had a hard time while making this VC ..for nothing, not even a single donation ,Just couple insults and being chasing around and see others get the benefits of my work without even said cockpit Upgraded made by

all Internet its become Piracy ,any one,can download paywares for free (ALL OF THEM) or can take any of my work take all the read me files and credits ,and upload it and take all the credit without being doing anything ,..just like that

Others I'm sure will reply what do you want then?,I dont see the big deal No problems about itand this will be my answer: You don't know what is to deal with a model ,texture mappings etc, its easy for you to say,  I did want credit for what I did , but I guess I didn't even had the right for that simple thing

well I would said ,No problems about it either but 1- that its no longer making airplane ,No problems there a lot more freewae Idiots who are also willing to give their work to benefits others ,Lets see how long will the y be doing things and allowing this

I tried to continue for the past 2 years ,But I couldn't , I keep asking the same what's for? this is not new ,and these things kept pushing me away from what I used to like once but not any more ,and I'm not mention some of the "free insults" I got to do free stuff from some of the people

what was the point of making free things to allow others get the real benefits ,while sometimes I find myself in a terrible economic situation?

I feel so stupid!  Angry God I waste my time thought all these years

I thought once the hard work was to make the aircraft ,I was wrong ,the biggest work its to deal with its release ,with the piracy ,with some angry people that fox example insults me because they dont like the screen flashes message  of the CitX VC ,

the upgraded 737 VC very disappointing and I really regret wasting my time in it

You'll always have pirating idiots.
If everyone in the world was perfect,we wouldn't have prisons,we would have less taces, there wouldn't be any police.
But we do,and there is nothing we can do about it.

Its sad to see one of the best freeware designers go. Sad

You should certainly send them a 'cease and desist' email. It is your property, and only you can stop them from doing it.

I can't find their domain information, but if it's a US registered website, then you could always file a DMCA Takedown Notice, or write to the actual host who is supporting their website, and tell them that they're operating illegally and that you want them to remove your content.

It is unfortunate, but any online media is vulnerable. You shouldn't let these people take your rights away from you - It is your property, and it is not for them to host or sell. Only you can prevent it... Nobody else can file copyright notices, because it doesn't belong to anyone else.

Don't give up, just sort them out and carry on!

What a bunch of pukes!  I sent the following e-mail to their "help and support":

*****

Hi!

I have a small problem with the Citation X.  The problem is that your web site implies that you created the addon, and you even ask for a donations, saying "We work hard to make these"  The Problem is that you, nor any of your staff, made the Citation X.  The addon was made by Alejandro Rojas Lucena.  Implying that the Citation X is something Aerodynamic Addons created or produced is not only dishonest, but is also disprespectful to Mr. Lucena, and to those who are familiar with his work.

Adeau.

******

They also have a download management gizmo with Simviations main page on it's download page. Apparently it's a gizmo that will direct your search to web pages that have a download you are looking for that they haven't already stolen.. er, produced.    Smiley

Alex -- add up your downloads. 10's 1000's  Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool

Now add up your problems from a few morons > How many? Not many.

If I were you I would create your future as 'donationware' - wher peolle are requested to make a small donation - even $1 - or however much they want to give. This will stop sites like this ..

But also remember ALL payware is available free from torrent sites. Also all software. It is part of the world we live in.

If you want us to give you a template email you can send to these pirate sites -- it will save you a lot of stress. Instead of sitting writing an angry letter -- and getting worked up and sad -- just paste in the standard email and go back to having fun. You should do this!!

Let us know. It's easy to make one that will be exactly what you want.  Smiley

I download the airplane ,and it discussing how this person remove all traces I left in my CitX

he remove my screen to put his damn website

...

...

the site does not have any other model ,just my citX

I think it will be hard to make this site remove the citx he doesn't have more airplanes ,Cnet its hosting for download

One thing its very true Pete ,I'm so upset that I think I'm going to be sick

Just relax Alex ..... This happens to everyone. Simviation is being attacked regularly by morons trying to slow us down and damage us. I was up at 3am yesterday with a DoS attack.

Sit back .. you'll be fine. Just take a breather & do something else.

I don't know how much I can help, but if it is any consolation, I just wanted to say that I appreciate all the work you put into your models, Alrot.  I designed a plane once myself, and the hours of fine tuning often makes me want to pull my hair out, so I understand how tough it must be to have someone out there steal your hard work and use it to their benefit.

I hope things work out and they pull their site down.

Cheers,
RB

I know how you feel, I would be so pissed at them stealing my hard work, I would bash my computer screen in. Here's what you need to do. They are just like bullies when you were a kid in school. Just pretend they aren't there. We here all know that you are an AMAZING modeler, and we all know YOUR work. The most important thing is to not give up on the things you love. Freeware designers are pretty scarce in the flightsim community. I'm not trying to be selfish and say keep producing models for us, I'm saying keep doing what you love to do for the good of the community. There will always be those @$$holes that you can't do anything about. Remember, the flightsim community is mostly comprised of very nice people, who will help and support you. Just think to yourself, you are a much better person than them, and you are probably doing better in life than them because you aren't so desperate as to pirate models for money. DON'T GIVE UP. PLEASE. I honestly love your MD-80, and I hate those evil pirates just as much as you do. Just ignore them.

I know what it's like, I have had people charge for downloading my addons, sometimes even including the original read-me expressly saying "no charge can be made for its use or distribution."

I haven't had anything to the extent of what this person has done, but I understand what it feels like.

If it's any consolation I doubt he has made any money out of it, I can't imagine he gets many hits and even less of those would donate money...

Most of mine are from school. But some people I know have silly amounts of friends. Some have about 700. Shocked

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

Jetprop you need to hang around when I'm in a REALLY bad mood, you'll be amazed what kind of viciousness with words an ex-English teacher is capable of in a strop!
I mean your common-or-garden angry bloke would come up with "Stick a cactus up your a$$ you child molesting f***bag!"
An ex-English teacher would come up with "I feel that you need to insert a large and well sharpened member of the Cactaceae family into your lower intestine as a suitable alternative to your paedophilic activities you shining example of how a human being can look exactly like a walking prolapse of the rectum!"
Remember long medical words scare dimwits, they a) don't understand them and b) are not sure if you're seriously insulting them. Confusion is a wonderful thing... closely followed by the less than gentle application of knuckledusters to the nose. And yes my students had absolute respect for me!
Oddly most of them have stayed in touch and several have gone on to become English teachers citing me as a scary but great inspiration.
Nowt beats honesty backed up by pure anger and being over 6 feet tall and built like a brick outhouse Grin Grin Grin

Alejandro!  Please don't quit 'cause of a turdsmoker like this.  Like someone said, you quit and that loser wins.  You have a gift my friend and I am glad to be able to be one of your benefactors.

I love all your models!  Especially the Citations. Smiley

A little bit ago I fired off this email to their "support" section:

To whom it may concern:

This is being sent to you to protest an item on your site that you claim is your creation.

The item;  Freeware Aerodynamic Cessna Citation X, is pirated freeware from the individual that created it.

I personaly know that this excellent model was created by Alejandro Rojas Lucena quite some time ago and exclusively offered on a freeware site in their downloads section.

I, along with quite a few of my flightsim colleagues, find your fraudulent representation of this model as quite reprehensible.  I see from your screenshot examples that you have also altered key elements of the interior features so as to represent this model as being proprietary to you and your organization, when that is also a grossly fraudulent misrepresentation.

I know that the internet is full of those that wish to profit through the acquisition of material that they have no legitimate claim to, and you and your site are no exception.

I will let this correspondence serve as notice that you need to cease and desist representing this model as something that you created.  Or, give proper credit where credit is due and acknowledge the creator of this fine model.

You and your site epitomize the dirty side of the internet.  I truly doubt that you will comply though.   Let this serve as notice that this site will be monitored in the future to see what else you and your "staff" see fit to purloin and claim as your own!

Piracy and unfair things will only prevail when there is no one to take a stand and fight for what's right.

I have absolutely no qualms against standing up against those that choose to take from others.

Once you roll over and accept defeat then you let the badguys win!  THE BADGUYS MUST NOT, and will not, WIN!

Yeah, if The publisher (Alrot) can claim ( in which he can) that it is his product leagly, then there is a case.  That kid will argue without evidence, and the he has to claim Piercy of the product.

I'm in a place where I can't not fight ,Don't you think I already had a lot of work making them Now I have to be on line checking and being also fighting?
This things take a really hard working YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW HARD IT IS AND HOW HARD IT WAS FOR ME TO MAKE THAT SHAPE OF THE BELLY OF THAT AIRPLANE

I been fighting since my first release in 2005 and now you can find all my airplanes everywhere with other as its designers  ,

This is nothing new to me I'm so disappointment and tired  ,I used to do this for entertainment ,but since the first release it has become a night mare ,a hard work to allow other take full credits ..
NOT ANYMORE

take a look this email ,I SWEAR THIS IS ONE OF MANY ,THIS JERK JUST WANT THE VC TO UPLOAD IT IN ANOTHER AIRPLANE AND TAKE FULL CREDIT who knows who's fuselage/exterior he's also stealing it and also take full credit for demitris new 737?=??

...

Yes I will make just for him One without my name and maybe I should reply him and tell him I will put his name instead  Angry

that RED letter is something Not visible , Its all about RE UPLOAD THE MODEL WITH OTHER NAMES AS ITS DESIGNERS

I am tired ,if a 14 years old kid can do this and I have no way (because I already try all I could )

I hate everytime I see my work in that site ,I'm too old for this specially when I see the hardest work I ever made for FS in a hand and full credit of a little kid (same with the MD-83 in other sites ) I can't act like my own police

I can't afford a long oversea phone call ,I can't do anything more my work is in the hand of any one who wants to play the FSX/FS9 modeler  Angry

If I were IN USA None of this would happen to me

I'm so sorry about this POST I'm so upset , I acknowledged you all people support me and I appreciated and all I have its to release my anger through this way

Its all I can do ,die here of anger and disappointment myself

Just because I'm a trouble maker I went to FB and asked this;

"Why have you taken someone else's work for FSX, changed it ever so slightly and then claimed it as yours? Are your parents aware of this activity and what could happen when a copyright violation claim appears in the mail?"

I'll await for the teenage spamming attack...

Alrot, you might also send an email to Paypal and explain that there is a Donate button on his site and explain that the work is in violation of your copyright. They *should* revoke the button, I'm hoping.

Alex you are taking this too seriously

Every weekend Simviation gets attacked by people who want to see us gone. (we are again under a amateur DoS right now). My work is stolen every day by lowlife FS scam sites who make money out of my hard work.

Every single payware file is downloaded 100 times for every paid download.

This guy is nothing compared to what we all have to put up with.

Just realise this is part of it. You have little problem compared to many others - but you take it too seriously. Realize the reality and Chill out a little.

Hey Alejandro, at least you know that you are the goodguy at the end of the day.  And you have a loyal "fan club" too, a lot of us here at SimV!

Thieves, either virtual or actual, are everywhere and will be til the end of time.

Take a look at this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DMCA

Don't know if there's anything you can do against any of the thieving losers, but maybe you file some sort of complaint and at least be a bit of a pain in their butts!

Embarrassed
...
,I don't need to prove ,just the fact that the texture files are in Spanish and thousands of witnesses but talking about here of legal action its too much for something so little
and I don't think this small incident would cause attention due to a simple fact ....Its a free product,
the only benefit was personal ,My credit and It seems I don't even have the right to it

Now ask your self Would you want to continue Doing this?

Put yourself in my place , You do airplanes and enjoy making them and see your job being the joy of many You see them in Pics in avatars that's your reward More than enough, you spend thousands of hours in many small details ,and everytime you release it ,to see them Upload it in other sites by other and having all the credits?

Take a look my preview pic and see the guy's bothered by something almost invisible, see how he making fun of my inteligence (this is not the first time ,same with the VC attach protection of my oldest models )  ..think about it

I'm going to have to quiet , doesn't mean that this dont make me upset

It looks like a digitally signed e-mail is OK too.
Either that, or a fax, or a letter.
Seems that they have a pretty serious procedure to deal with alleged copyright infringement and to me it looks all but a bad thing.
In the future, Alrot, you might wanna take notice that it normally takes a few business days to reply to these complaints. You wrote them over the weekend didn't you?
As for your rightful discontent, I believe that almost anybody who designs FS models has had this once or twice. We both know you won't quit, 'cause heck, you're not in this for the money or you would have gone commercial by now. You do this for a passion, and that cannot be interrupted by no ill mannered brat.
PS: I wish my friends backed me like these guys here backed you, when someone steps on my toes! Consider yourself a lucky fellow  Wink

I sent him a VERY threatening email a few days ago telling him if he did not remove the file off his site within 48 hrs that I would be paying him a visit.

I even left a  message on his answering machine..

IT seems to have worked.. it is now gone.

Resorting to, or actually using, methods that nudge up into the illegal, or borderline illegal, is never acceptable.

Once one resorts to that sort of activity they put themselves on the same level as the perpetrator(s).

Take the "high road" next time.  I'm sure Alejandro, or anyone for that matter, would not wish to be associated with activity that could be interpreted as criminal.

Don't worry I didn't do or say anything illegal.. I just said I would pay him a visit.. and showed him that I had his adress...

Then I left a message on his answering machine to check his email.

I just figured him knowing we have his home address and phone number would scare him into taking it down.. and it seems it has!!  Grin Grin

No matter, it could have been perceived as a threat.  Also, you were not the only person to contact the individual or the web hosts, so please do not assume that your "threat" (even if it was not intended as an actual threat) is what cause the addon to be removed.

For whatever reason, it was removed, and that is the important point.

Agreed, we did this together. If it had only been one person emailing them then it probably wouldn't have been removed.

Also Michael, if another person pirates Alex's work please don't resort to threatening them. I'm sure Alex doesn't want his name associated with a bully.

I understand Michael ,
but NO threads
, FOR ONE REASON that I wouldn't want ..a friend...( because any one who has help me OR TRY, I consider my friend) To be arrested or got into a criminal felony for trying to help me ,that would be worse than the problem its self  Shocked

In the moments that His adress and all his details phone FB etc were exposed The "kid" remove the airplane and the container ,this mean one two thing or the Kid its watching this thread or due to some phone calls make him remove the file (or both)

This type of thing its a triumph to freeware adds on world not just for my work.. Smiley

Michael, I didn't mean bully in a nasty way & I don't think you are one just so you know.

I just meant that people who didn't know you might think you were one.

Alex I'll have a look to see if anyone still has your MD83 on their website. Wink

Glad he removed it.

I send this e-mail to both his support address and his personal e-mail address dated 13/04/2012.

"Goodday Hakan Saplakoglu:

I am sure you are aware taking another developers hard work, removing
traces he left displaying his trademark on the plane and upload it to
your site where your "charge" for it is completely illegal.

You are stealling software from a developer with many fans out there,
best you remove his plane from your site or suffer the penalty.

I will also be sending an e-mail to your webhost to inform them of
your illegal activities for further investigation.

Regards,"

Glad to see everyones effort and support paid off.

I am pretty impressed with the way all you guys helped out Alex with this situation. There is always a legal way to fix something, you just have to find it. I also am a fan of his work and was saddened to hear him so despondent about this thief. What a great way to show him the support he deserves. Granted, this type of thing goes on all the time and this was just one small battle but that is how you win the war, one battle at a time.

Many thanks Pete, Great site and a real privilege to be able to use it.

Alrot, I sure hope that you continue making aircraft.

Would anyone know how this hacker managed to change the model??? Makes no sense. Would take a bit more work, but I'm sure we could find a way of getting something in(or so many things) that would make doing something like this impossible, or virtually impossible.

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUYS!!!

I don't think he changed the model.  He just edited some of the textures.
