Happy Easter from us Canucks in Canada.

Old girl is getting ready for church and I shall go with her Easter Sunday.

Everything is closed here today except perhaps a few fine dining areas.

Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and my Birthday (not a statutory holiday as of yet) are the largest celebrated holidays here and in that order.  Grin

The river is calm and it is a beautiful sunny day with the temperature going into the double digits.

A nice CAVU day for bugsmashing, BBQs and a wobbly pop or two around the tables.

April has traditionally been a wet month but this year not so.
April showers bring May flowers... Smiley

After church we are off to the bugsmasher field for an afternoon BBQ.

The lads already have the pig on the spit.

Lots of hot dishes supplemented with salads and desserts... Smiley

The old girl is helping to serve while I am on dishwashing duty for several hours.
Sure beats peeling and chopping several hundred pounds of onions... Grin

Looking forward to the smell of AV/GAS and the sound of Lycoming and Continental engines.

Now you folks all know I am not going to try and outdo those other Old Retired Rocking Chair Flying Geezers at the Bullshit Table of Tall Tales....  Shocked   Roll Eyes    Lips Sealed

Would you folks mind if I told just one even though it is Good Friday?    Smiley

Have a Happy Easter... Wink

And A Happy Easter to you as well! All my decks are built, got the porch painted but still have a new 10X12 gazebo to put up on the 12X12 lower deck. Still gotta get gas for my new grill on the 10X10 grilling deck and an umbrella for the stand on it. Its one thing to be the cook,i'd like to do it in the shade and not be cooked Grin. I need to re-mow the yard as well but it rained all day yesterday and is raining right now. I gotta get all this done before my parents and mom-in-law come over for easter dinner, Damn weather. I usually wouldn't care if it rained but i'm really into my yard now what with all the projects I started and am so close to finishing. Well thats my easter weekend. I hope to take some grill pics and post em Sunday evening if all turns out well. Have a great weekend everyone!

I've got my twaps set to catch that wascally wabbit this year!  Wast year the wabbit got away but this year I'm weady.  Wabbit stew for Easter dins! Cheesy
Just kidding, have a joyous Easter my fellow pilots.  It's all going to be driving and relatives for me (my brother's in laws).  The only two upsides are the company of my lovely daughter, and, my bro's in-laws ALWAYS serve excellent food and drink.  A shame I cannot partake in the drink as heartily as I care to as I would not like to see my 6 year old become the designated driver. Thanks for the reply Mike... Smiley

Rain...gosh we have great weather until Wednesday next week and then rain straight through to the weekend they say... Smiley

Sounds like you still have just a little work to do outside but you have all summer to sit and enjoy your labours... Wink

Thanks for the reply Bud... Smiley

The police are out in full force this weekend just looking for drunk drivers and those that are breaking the rules of the road.

Yesterday our neighbours wife was our designated driver although I had far less to drink than what I expected.

The problem being I ate too much... Grin

Several different types of pie and cake did not help either... Grin

Oh...almost forgot...too busy thanking everyone... Grin

Wonderful turnout yesterday from the membership.

Very very little food left over and believe me when I first saw the tables I thought we would be taking a lot home, it was all gone by the end of the evening.

Five bugsmashers in the circuit at any given time for several hours, some rides were taken by spouses, family members and friends.

This morning we did a general cleanup of the club house but with what looks like several weeks of rain on the way there will be a general cleanup before May 24th long weekend.

Well I am sitting here looking at a huge bowl full of chocolate Easter Eggs and know full well I had better not eat one more... Grin

Easter seems to have been overwritten by the Nantwich Jazz and Blues Festival... Which involves plenty of music (which keeps me awake, then wakes me up too early  Angry )

The cider is cheap though Grin So have a good Easter!  Tongue

Gotta love South Park -

Cartman: Kyle, my Hebrew friend, did you see that it's raining frogs?

Kyle: Yes, it's because Pharaoh won't give the Hebrews what we want. God is angry.

Cartman: So God makes it rain frogs? That just seems kind of mean to frogs, Kyle.

Kyle: That's how God is. And if Pharaoh doesn't give us what we want next He's gonna kill all Egyptian first born boys.

Cartmen: Okay, look, I'll talk to Pharaoh and see if he'll change his mind.

Kyle: It doesn't matter - because God is going to harden Pharaoh's heart.

Cartman: What's that mean?

Kyle: It means that Jehovah will use his power to keep the Pharaoh from letting us go.

Cartman: Well that doesn't seem very fair, Kyle. I mean, if God is going to make Pharoah say no then why would He punish him for saying no?

Kyle: That's just how God is.

Cartman: You're wrong, Kyle. God is not a d--k.

------------------------------

Cartman: Dad, my friend Kyle says if we don't do whatever the Hebrews want us to do God is going to kill little Egyptian boys.

Pharaoh: I don't think God would do such a thing, little one. No matter what happens we can't let ourselves believe in the Hebrew version of God. We believe in a just Lord who would never murder innocent children.

It's a beautiful day in South Florida.  74° F, partly cloudy, 11 mph wind.

More importantly, it's a beautiful day in Augusta, Georgia.  78° F, partly cloudy, 9 mph wind.
