The nerve of this guy! I had to go around like 3 times! He wouldn't clear the runway! What a Jerk,outta pull his flight card........
Just an odd find somewhere just outside Lakenheath.
Guess towers are free to roam where ever they want in the UK. We bolt em down out of the way here

I have seen the portable checkerboard coloured Air Traffic Control Towers on the runway and taxiways going somewhere.
Some were self propelled like a motorhome and others were pulled by a truck.
They even have their own power generators and are much the same as a stationary tower.
Well done on the shot...

Nope. Completely accidental. I took off out of Lakenheath, did a full burn into the clouds,hung out there a few seconds, dropped throttle and dove back through the clouds. I happend to see an airport and was heading for a pass and review before landing and thats when I caught it. Never expected to see such a thing...
