Found this MiG-21 here at SimV. Russian pits are great fun. Here are a few screens from a quick flight yesterday in Czech "Tiger" dress:
And because I have my aircraft set to start cold and dark, switch aircraft can lead to an interesting situation. Startup can take a few minutes, so extra altitude is recommended:
And a few of the "steam gauge" pit:
Hope you enjoyed them.

Thanks, JP. Actually it's neither. I was just playing around with some stuff and seeing if it's anything I might want to actually create and release. The area is in the Nevada-Utah border area. The first two screens are actually looking across into Utah's Great Salt Desert.

Cool shots of a great bird
Your scenery looks very good, Rich. I hope you decide to develop and release it
"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Thanks folks. Glad you enjoyed them.
Chuck, I'm growing more and more fond of desert scenery. So I'll probably work on it. But like everything else, it takes time.

BlackAce, that's the one I have and the gauges work fine. It's definitely not a glass pit, though. Enjoy. EDIT: BTW, the package comes with no sound. I just copy/pasted the sound folder from an Su-35 package that I have. But you could use just about anything you want. :EDIT ENDS
Andy, thanks for taking the time to look and comment. Glad you liked them.

Thanks. And thanks for the paints tip, too. I downloaded the MiG-21 on a whim expecting to be disappointed but it's turned out otherwise. It'll be staying in my hangar for awhile.

Cool! No, I haven't. I hope to have time either this evening or tomorrow morning for FSX. I'll give it a try then.

I tried it and now I am missing some gauges in the VC and I am also unable to get rid of the rockets so I fly at rediculus speeds.

Don't know about the missing gauges but you need to press the white "jettison" button just forward of the throttle control to dump them after takeoff:
http://www.simviation.com/phpupload/uploads/1332964644.jpg
. Of course, if you're already doing this, then...

Hmmm. Not sure why that's happening, assuming everything is installed right. Works everytime for me. I wonder if the version of FSX we use is a factor. I use Acceleration.
I do recall in some instructions somewhere reading that sometimes you might need to push the button more than I time because the unit keeps turning back on. So, evidenly, it has some issues for some people. If you'd like, I can ZIP up my installation files and send them to you. If nothing else, you'll have the external views I've written--unless, of course, you have your own that you prefer.

Almost looks airworthy, once you get the mice out, put it back together, and replace the missing pieces.
