The title is self explanatory. Which manufacturer is best at producing the joysticks we often use for flight simulation?
I remember using one of them* earlier in my youth and I rarely has any problems with them with an exception.
I remember owning the Saitek Cyborg and the Saitek x45. Although I don't think I ever tried the Logitech ones before and I always wondered how they compare to their Saitek counterparts.

Never used a Saitek, but I've been using a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro for years and haven't had any real problem to speak of. The only "complaint" I might make about it, is that some of the buttons have lost their, I don't know, "feel". Not quite as springy as they were when it was new. They all still work though. For the money I think it was a great purchase.
Specs: Asus Crosshair nForce 590 SLI,
AMD Athlon X2 6400+ w/ZeroTherm BTF90,
4GB G.Skill PI Series DDR2-800,
Sapphire HD4870 512MB,
PC P&C 750 Quad, in a CoolerMaster HAF932

I have to say as far as home simming I like my Saitek. I had the 45, now I fly with the 52(not the pro,the model just before it). My dad just gave me his Saitek Pro Flight Yoke as he likes his older Saitek yoke for his FS9. I'll be hooknig that up today and playing with it. I think the reason he didn't like the pro system is because of the detent in the yoke construction. When you pull on it for take off you can feel a "speedbump" in the yoke same as desending. Sometimes when landing it hits the speedbump and makes the aircraft dive so when you compensate you have to pull up and hit the speed bump again so basically you have a flailing plane to land instead of a nice smooth landing. I may have a fix for that...Anyway as far as Logitech,I plan on getting a simple one for my laptop and FS9 for easier hauling from town to town. Cant see me carrying a yoke, throttle quadrant, and pedals plus my laptop to a campsite or hotel for that matter. I may look a bit odd to non-simmers

I got a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro & have had it for about 2-3 years. No problems what so ever. Best Joystick I've ever had.
But saying that I don’t think I’ve ever tried a Saitek Joystick.

Hi,
I've had the X52 since 2004, and been flying it senince FS9. Then I wanted something more realistic, so I went on eBay and bid ( quite a couple of times) on a Saitek X52Pro. It's the best joystick/ throatal I've had. Last Christmas my parents got me the Rudder pedals to go along. The both are awesome together... Now I need a new computer

Had 3 Logitech Joysticks 2 3D Pro wireless and 1 Force feed back, way back in 2002 / 2003 and everyone of them bit the dust in a little over a year. I now use SAITEK's Digital Flight Yoke, coupled with their throttle quadrant and their Aluminum Combat Rudder Peddles so far its great no problems way more ya can do as far as programming them than logi-tech.
